Historic Assessments

SPARK Consulting offers historic assessment reports as a method to formalize the research and known information on a structure with rehabilitation recommendations.  It is geared towards the needs of property owners, governmental agencies, private businesses, and non-profit organizations.

Historic assessments consist of research on a historic structure using physical evidence and archival methods to answer questions about its history and alterations, photographs of the current condition, and rehabilitation recommendations for appropriate treatments to meet the needs of the current owner.  biographical information on the original and/or subsequent families, floor plans of the structure, and historic photographs and maps.  The goals and purposes a historical assessment are always tailored to the client�s needs for the project.

A historic assessment is a less formal version of a Historic Structure Report, meeting the needs of most clients not formally involved in cultural resource management.  For more information, contact SPARK Consulting.
